Candied Edible Flowers are the perfect way to add a fresh and beautiful garnish to cupcakes, cake or any dessert you are serving. They are lovely and also so, so easy!

  • 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
  • 2 c very warm water
  • edible flowers
  • 1/4 c superfine sugar
  1. Dissolve gelatin into warm water

  2. Dip flowers into mixture shaking to remove excess. Sprinkle flowers with superfine sugar to cover completely. 

  3. Place on a baking sheet and let stand for 30 minutes or until dry and firm.

Edible flowers should only be eaten if the source is confirmed to be pesticide free. You can find edible flowers on Amazon, Whole Foods, or local organic farms. Always check before using edible flowers to confirm the source is pesticide free. Also note that many flowers are poisonous and only edible flowers should be used.
