Cranberry Cider Mules || Leaf Peepers

Leaf Peeper (lēf pēpər) noun: 1. Common in New England, one who travels to scenic areas to view the autumn foliage. 2. The absolute best fall cocktail I’ve ever had. synonyms: Cranberry Cider Mules
Ok, so I made up the second definition, but it’s true. This cocktail is basically a mule, but I’m renaming it a Leaf Peeper, because it is the perfect cocktail to have while you’re admiring some changing leaves. My brother-in-law, Chris, helped me develop this drink and we couldn’t have been more tickled with the outcome.
So don your coziest flannel, your Uggs and a chunky scarf. Light your Autumnal Yankee candle. Skip the pumpkin spiced latte and head straight for a Leaf Peeper. Nothing will make you feel more fall-tastic.

Cranberry Cider Mules (AKA Leaf Peepers) are my absolute favorite fall cocktail! Cranberry vodka, ginger beer and hard cider stirred with a cinnamon stick = autumn perfection!
- 6 oz cranberry vodka (Triple 8 if you can find it locally)
- 6 oz ginger beer
- 6 oz hard cider (I prefer Angry Orchard)
- lemon juice
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 apple
-
Place ice in copper mugs and add a squeeze of lemon juice over the ice.
-
Pour in equal parts cranberry vodka, ginger beer and hard cider into the mugs. Stir well with cinnamon stick. Leave the cinnamon stick for garnish and add apple slices.
